Booty Island was a major island of the Tri-Island Area. It was governed by Elaine Marley. It has a French influence and the inhabitants celebrated Mardi Gras all year round. Guybrush Threepwood visited the island in search of the map pieces to Big Whoop.

As revealed in some of the concept art for the game, the island was originally intended to be visited during nighttime (like Scabb Island) and its intended name was "Crooked Island".
