A cannonball was a solid iron ball used as a projectile to be fired from cannons.

Acquisition

One is found inside the cannon at the Fort on Monkey Island. The cannon has to be pushed over.

Usage

It can be used with the flint to cause a spark which destroys the dam.

Curse of Monkey Island

Near the beginning of the game there will be a mini-game in which Threepwood fires cannonballs at LeChuck's crew. If you type "lapostal", you will get a message saying that you have unlimited cannonballs. This is a joke, as you had no limit anyway.

LeChuck's zombie form was destroyed and resurrected by a Voodoo Cannonball.

Part of SPEARE!: A Theatrical Medley was a cannonball juggling act. Threepwood covered them in Chicken Grease to ruin the show and get Slappy Cromwell off the stage.
