The Decrypted map was a map created by Wally B. Feed from his shop on Melee Island on LeChucks request to locate secret of Monkey Island. Incidentally, the map was swapped midway with a fake one by Madison. When Guybrush infiltrated the LeChuck's crew as a disguise, he swapped what he thought was the map to the secret with the Mop Tree map. After landing on Monkey Island by himself, he followed the map's directions and went into the trap that Madison had set for LeChuck. Despite As part of the map's security, it was binded to LeChuck, which meant that the only way for someone else to see it would be to use a dark magic ritual which required some of LeChuck's secrets.
