- for the item in Tales of Monkey Island, see Hook.
The Fake Hook served as training for wearing an official pirate hook.
Bloodnose the Pirate wore one as a part of LeChuck's training to become a fearsome pirate. He said it was a training hook until LeChuck found time to cut off his hand.
After Guybrush Threepwood realised that Bloodnose was Wally, he convinced him that he wasn't fit to be a good pirate. Wally attempted to put his hands to his face to cry. However, the hook was in the way, and so Wally threw it off.
Acquisition[]
Guybrush was able to take the hook from the ground after it was discarded.
Usage[]
It could be combined with the Ramrod to form a gaff, which would enable Guybrush to collect the skeletal arm and the sword attached to it.
