The Ghost Violinist was apparently a member of LeChuck's crew at one time.
She was no longer present by the time he left for his quest for the secret of Monkey Island.

The violinist only appeared in the trailer for the game in which she knocked Murray into the sea before he revealed what Ron had told him. She made no appearance in the actual game.
