The Mêlée Docks were just outside of the town. The Scumm Bar was there.
Fester Shinetop attempted to execute Guybrush Threepwood there but he escaped and met Elaine Marley and they confessed their love. After completing the Three Trials he saw LeChuck's Ghost Ship sailing away, having abducted Elaine. Later he met Stan there with the Sea Monkey delivered to him.
When he returned, Guybrush confronted Biff at the docks.

Trivia[]
- Only in the PC EGA version of SoMI, at the very start of the game, when Guybrush walks at the dock, the scenery shows a sunset. The sunset is replaced by the starry night sky soon after and remains so for the rest of the game. The sunset code has been removed to all other versions of SoMI (perhaps because it would be difficult to translate the coloring code to VGA and other palettes) and it is already deep night from the beginning of the story.[1]
- The said sunset would be inconsistent with the concept that the time is always 22:00 on that island; it is also the only instance in the games when the progress of time is shown.
Behind the scenes[]
- Early in the game’s development, the random non-interactable pirates that appear on High Street and Low Street, also appeared on the docks, between the Scumm Bar and the archway, exiting and entering the bar. This feature only appears in the Passport to Adventure demo of the game. Ron Gilbert chose to disable this, because of the discontinuity of pirates entering the Bar and not seeing them inside.[1]
- According to Gilbert's notes and source code, there would be a screen called Cliff between the Lookout Point and the Docks.[1] Mark Ferrari once mentioned a unused arwork of "one scene looking straight down over a cliff edge down a long zig zag wooden cliff face staircase at the pirate village at the cliff’s base."[2] In the final game the cliffs appear only on the left side of the Docks.
