The General Store on Mêlée Island was owned and run by a surly old Store Keeper.
Located on High Street, next to the Mêlée Island Church, it stocked a large variety of items and was a possible source of credit notes.
History[]
The Secret of Monkey Island[]
Guybrush Threepwood was able to buy a number of very useful items at the store, as well as procure a credit note which he used to buy his first ship.
Return to Monkey Island[]
An old woman named Widey Bones resided above the store. The General Store was one of the businesses on the island that had closed down. A note on the door read "Forced to close. Thanks for the memories but cash would have been better."
The store itself had been bought by the old Pirate Leaders and been refashioned into a fish shop named The Cod's Wallop.
