The Monkey Head Key was a key that was able to open the Giant Monkey Head.
It was in the possession of the Monkey Island Cannibals, and was traded by Herman Toothrot in exchange for his Banana Picker. He would not give the key to Guybrush Threepwood unless he was given his Banana picker back.
It has the appearance of a giant cotton swab (or "Q-Tip"), and unlocks the Giant Monkey Head after being inserted into the Giant Monkey Ear and twisted in a circular, cleaning motion.
