Murray is an undead Pirate from LeChuck's army.
He was blown into pieces by Guybrush Threepwood when in a landing craft assaulting Plunder Island.
He ends up in the Carnival of the Damned for some time. Murray's arm is picked up by Guybrush Threepwood after he was blown to pieces and eventually makes its way to Planet Threepwood on Jambalaya Island as does Murray who sits on a stand outside advertising the place, unaware his arm is within the building.
