The swamp on Scabb Island was the location of the Voodoo Ladys International House of Mojo branch on the island. The swamp was also home to bats and various other wildlife.
A coffin was set by with an oar for visiting customers to access her shack by. A crate of Universal Pirate Shipping could be seen there bound for LeChuck's Fortress.

- in the movie 'Pirate's of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest', the heroes visit a voodoo priestess in a hidden hut in a swamp. In a separate scene Jack Sparrow uses a coffin as a makeshift boat. These may either be references to the game, or carry over concepts from when the original project was a Monkey Island movie.
