The Shackle key was a key that was made to unlock a pair of shackles used for the prisoners on the Brr Muda quarry. It was remarked that the shackles were said to be resistant to the cold. Guybrush copied the numbers on Stan's shackles, and had a key made to free him after Stan discovered that his time there had been extended.
