The Sliver of Wood was a small fragment of wood that Guybrush threepwood had cut from the Scum Bar cook's mop. The sliver was used in order for Wally to create a map to the mysterious Mop Tree. Guybrush was only able to get the sliver of wopod whilst the cook was busy trying to make all the meals in the "Ingrediants" cook book to appease Marlon Marlin.
