Terror Island is a location that most pirates fear to tread.

It's landscape was frightening and mysterious. Bones littered the paths and clearings.

Guybrush Threepwood visited during his search for the secret of Monkey Island as he had been told that one of the five Golden Keys had been lost there.

• On LeChuck's journal, he visited the island with his crew and liked the place.
• The remains of the campers in the clearing were revealed to have been the pirates as seen on the Secret of Monkey Island cover. This was revealed in one of Ron Gilbert's tweets
