The Grog that Drank People was the first of the horror trilogy novel series that was written by the budding horror fan, Mort the gravedigger. It can be found in Mort's Shack, while Guybrush looks through a crack while in the Goodsoup Family Crypt.

• The title is presumably a pun on "The blob that ate everyone".
