The Voodoo Anklet of Extreme Discomfort or known just as the Voodoo Anklet, is a type of chain that is worn around the ankle in order to stop cirminals from escaping off-island by causing extreme discomfort. When Guybrush Threepwood was framed for robbing the Second Bank of Lucre, by Pegnose Pete, Inspector Canard placed a voodoo anklet on him to prevent him from leaving Lucre Island, rather than locking him up. In order to leave the island, Guybrush must prove his innocence, which will convince Canard to remove the ankle bracelet.
